Mindset of a Master Chef

The remarks below were included in this week’s faculty focus at Excelsior Springs Middle School. The intent is to consider a broad perspective of the instructional year and how it culminates in the annual state assessment. It has been said that teaching is both an art and a science. The same can be said of the world’s best restaurants and the efforts of the chefs who consistently deliver creative and enjoyable dining experiences.


Guskey on Effective Grading & Reporting

Thomas Guskey was the featured speaker on June 26th at the Gateway School Leadership Institute at Saint Louis University. He engaged participants in a discussion about effective grading and reporting practices. This was an incredible day of learning for all who attended.
